Hoped to deliver a sonar listening device to the Beaumont Seamount some 30 nautical miles to the North East of Bermuda for University of Dalhousie postgraduate students working with Professor Hal Whitehead. The weather, which has been bad all week proved to be bad again today and so we have had to postpone the delivery. As the postgraduate student has to leave on Saturday with the listening devices we will have missed out on a fantastic opportunity to eavesdrop in on sperm and humpback whales.
