Tim Hasselbring, Captain of the Bermuda Zoological Society boat Endurance had a great encounter yesterday with a frolicsome calf breaching around the Endurance for almost an hour. The whales have thinned out considerably and there aren't many out there now as the season comes to a close. We did manage to get some fluke IDs below including yet another match back to Newfoundland in 1978. This season we have had several whales matching to whales seen off Labrador or northern Newfoundland 34 years ago!
