These two whales breached dozens of times in shallow 60 feet of water (OXDI) before taking off, heading exactly north. We followed them for some miles into deep water before returning back to Bermuda. The breaching whale on the right we identified as NAHWC 8193 first seen in 1998 on the Laurentian Shelf off Nova Scotia, which happens to be directly north of us. This whale is our 0448 first seen here in 2006, then again in 2011 and now in 2012. The fluke ID of 0448 is the one on the right down below.
