First fluke ID of the 2015 whale season, this is #1450 taken by Camilla Stringer (QP). Roger Etcheberry from St Pierre et Miquelon matched this fluke to their spm0661 photographed near St. Pierre on June 20, 25, 28, 2013 by Joël Detcheverry and also on July 7 of the same year by Frank Urtizbéréa.
Here is #1450's distinctive dorsal fin which was also confirmed by Roger as belonging to the same whale. We have had numerous humpback sightings this year (TT) reported to us by several observers. The consistantcy of these observations may point to humpbacks re-colonizing Bermuda as a winter breeding/calving ground.
