Our website www.whalesbermuda.com has passed the 2 million views/hit mark. Quite an achievement, especially as it isn't about sex, film stars or politicians! There's also a YouTube channel that I keep for whale videos and one ten-minute clip has almost reached half a million hits, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOS20plm7UM Again quite an achievement for the same reasons! 5,000 copies of "Where the Whales Sing" have been distributed to schools, school kids or sold. The film has been dubbed in Italian, and subtitled in three languages (Spanish, Korean, and Arabic) and has been shown on the in-flight programs of a number of airlines including Air Canada. It won "Best Emerging Underwater Filmmaker" at the BLUE Ocean Film Festival and "Audience Choice Award" and "Best Environmental Film" awards at numerous festivals in the USA and Europe. The large format illustrated book "Whale Song: Journeys into the Secret Lives of the North Atlantic Humpback Whales" published in the UK and USA had a first printing of 10,000 copies.

I've just finished a 300-page Young Adult fictional account of my humpback work which I hope will be published in the near future.

Last year I set up the Humpback Whale Research Foundation, a local registered charity, to continue the whale research and to ensure sustainability of the project beyond my own involvement. We actively look for sponsorship to the Foundation and anyone interested can contact Andrew Stevenson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
